Agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) are recipients/holders of any of the following: (i) Emancipation Patent (EP); (ii) Certificate of Land Ownership Award (CLOA); (iii) CARP Beneficiary Certificate (CBC); or (iv) Leasehold contract/agreement. From 1972 until end-2018, the DAR registered and distributed a total net area of 4.798 million hectares to 2,867,293 ARBs. In terms of the CCLOAs involved in the SPLIT Project, there are more than a million ARBs including those from the indigenous cultural communities/indigenous peoples (ICCs/IPs).
